Q & A with author Kimberley Woodhouse

What is something interesting readers would enjoy learning about you?

I play golf. Go ahead and giggle with me. Yes, this fluffy Nana-the-Great loves to play golf. And it’s totally unexpected. My sweet husband had bilateral knee replacements (both at the same time) a dozen years ago and asked me when he found out that he couldn’t run or jump anymore, “Hey… you wanna play golf with me?” I’m sure the expression on my face was comical. He thought it was a good idea for me to play golf? But the fact he asked me and wanted me to play was so sweet. Wouldn’t you know… it’s something we both love to do and our thirty-second anniversary trip last year was actually a golf trip. ?

You’ve written or co-written dozens of books … do you have a favorite? If so, which one and why?

Oh my goodness, that’s a tough question. No Safe Haven – written with my daughter is one of my favorites because the experience of writing together was a beautiful thing and so much fun. (We are hoping to re-release the series with new and updated content in 2025.) Then… my Alaska cyber series… and my dino series… and the books I’ve written with Tracie… (it’s so hard to pick a favorite!)

Turning toward Rendezvous … can you tell us more about your role at the event?

It is an absolute honor and privilege to serve on the worship team again with Lisa. It’s one of my favorite parts about Rendezvous—the worshipful atmosphere. And of course, I simply love being with other people who love the Lord and love books.

What are you most looking forward to about Rendezvous?

Spending time and connecting with others who long to shine the light of Jesus with our lost and dying world.

What do you love most about reader events?

The readers ?

Seriously. Every one of them. They sacrifice a lot to come and that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Why should readers attend Rendezvous?

Because it’s an amazing place to “find your people.” It’s like a huge family.?

What encouragement do you hope readers will take away from Rendezvous?

I pray that they all know how much we appreciate them. How much we are praying for them and are grateful to have them in our lives. We couldn’t do what we do without readers. Every single one of the are important to us.

Is there anything else you would love readers to know about you, the event, or your love of writing?

The heart behind Rendezvous is my favorite. The people behind it are my favorite. And I can’t say enough about what a soul-and-heart-refreshing experience it is.
