Today’s book review features
A Flicker of Light by Katie Powner.
Cold Dawn is the seventh and final installment in Susan Sleeman’s Cold Harbor series. I love the Blackwell Tactical team and am sad to see their series end. But what a great end this was!
Circle of Spies is the conclusion to Roseanna M. White‘s Culper Ring series. As the Civil War comes to an end, the Culpers aren’t the only spies trying to alter the course of history.
Daughters of Northern Shores is Joanne Bischof‘s sequel to Sons of Blackbird Mountain. It occurs a couple years later and follows the aftermath of the characters’ decisions in the final pages of Sons of Blackbird Mountain.
I was first introduced to Joanne Bischof‘s books when given a copy of The Lady and the Lionheart. I loved that story and Joanne’s writing style so much, I immediately requested Sons of Blackbird Mountain and its sequel Daughters of Northern Shores from the library. Like The Lady and the Lionheart, Sons of Blackbird Mountain will stay with you forever.
A Reluctant Bride is the first book in Jody Hedlund‘s The Bride Ships series. After reading book two, The Runaway Bride, which was my first introduction to Jody Hedlund and one of my favorite books of 2020, I knew I had to read book one.
History plus spies usually equals a book I love. Whispers from the Shadows, the second book in the Culper Ring series by Roseanna M. White exceeded all my expectations! Emotional, touching, intriguing, page-turning, this book has it all.
Always Look Twice by Elizabeth Goddard is book two in her Uncommon Justice series. Book one, Never Let Go, introduced us to Heath McKade. Always Look Twice is his story.
