Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s theme is the top ten books of 2020. Of the over 100 books I read, it was a challenge to narrow it down to just 10 (plus a bonus novella collection), but here it goes… the award for my favorite books of the year.
Reading A Portrait of Loyalty by Roseanna M. White felt like the ending of an era. It’s the third book in The Codebreakers series, but the series built off of the previous series, Shadows of England, and even touched on a character or two from the previous series Ladies of the Manor. It was a fitting and beautiful culmination to this group of books.
Ever since I learned that Philip Camden would be one of the main characters in the second book of Roseanna M. White’s Codebreakers series, I couldn’t wait for the book to come out. Readers first met Cam in The Number of Love as a friend of Drake Elton. He also became a co-worker of Margot DeWilde in Room 40, the codebreaking arm of the WWI British navy.
The Number of Love is the first book in Roseanna M. White’s newest series, The Codebreakers. It follows Margot De Wilde, a young mathematician who works for England’s secretive Room 40 during World War I, and Drake Elton, a British spy who falls in love with her. With an enemy closing in, they must work together to stay alive.
