Alaskan Rescue by Terri Reed is the first book in the Love Inspired Suspense continuity series Alaskan K-9 Unit. I love LIS K-9 stories because the dogs take such an active role and are part of the happily ever after that is a hallmark of LIS stories. The fact that this series takes place in Alaska adds to the enjoyment.
Destined for You is the first book in Tracie Peterson‘s new historical romance series Ladies of the Lake. Set on the shores of Lake Superior, one of my favorite settings, I knew I had to give this book a read.
Do you ever pick a book based on title alone? Knowing Framed in Death Valley by Dana Mentink took place in, well, Death Valley, I was immediately curious. The story turned out to be pleasantly unique, with a bad boy hero and a pregnant heroine.
