A Patchwork Past, by Leslie Gould, is the second book in her Plain Patterns series. It’s not the type of story I usually read, so why did I chose it? Because though a book may not be in my usual genre, something else about a story might capture my attention. In this case, there were many things!
Alaskan Rescue by Terri Reed is the first book in the Love Inspired Suspense continuity series Alaskan K-9 Unit. I love LIS K-9 stories because the dogs take such an active role and are part of the happily ever after that is a hallmark of LIS stories. The fact that this series takes place in Alaska adds to the enjoyment.
Do you ever pick a book based on title alone? Knowing Framed in Death Valley by Dana Mentink took place in, well, Death Valley, I was immediately curious. The story turned out to be pleasantly unique, with a bad boy hero and a pregnant heroine.
Present Danger by Elizabeth Goddard is the first book in her new Rocky Mountain Courage series. U.S. Forest Service Special Agent Terra Conners is asked to help investigate a murder that occurred on forest land, which requires partnering with her ex-boyfriend, Former FBI Special Agent Jack Tanner.
