Alaskan Rescue by Terri Reed is the first book in the Love Inspired Suspense continuity series Alaskan K-9 Unit. I love LIS K-9 stories because the dogs take such an active role and are part of the happily ever after that is a hallmark of LIS stories. The fact that this series takes place in Alaska adds to the enjoyment.
Forever Hidden by Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse is the first book in their latest series The Treasures of Nome. As the series title suggests, the story takes place in Nome, Alaska in the early 1900s, when the search for gold was strong in that area.
I love wilderness survival novels. When I volunteered to read and review a copy of The Way of the Brave by Susan May Warren, I didn’t realize how much of a survival story it was. The further into the book I got, the more hooked I became. Getting trapped on Denali with death, the past, and the weather threatening to undo the characters? Now that’s my kind of book!
In the Shadow of Denali by Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse is an historical, inspirational novel set in Alaska during the early 1900s. It follows Allan Brennan on his quest to find the truth about what happened to his father on Denali. Believing the expert guide, John Ivanoff, to be at fault for his father’s death, Allen takes a job in Curry, Alaska where he meets Ivanoff and the man’s beautiful daughter Cassidy.
