Happy Release Day!

Holiday Menace is now available!

This collection has been months in the making. When Sarah Hamaker first reached out about compiling a collection of new, romantic suspense Christmas novellas, I enthusiastically jumped on board. I love Christmas novellas and have been so blessed by working with these ladies.

What’s Holiday Menace about?

Will Christmas be merry and bright? Lives are in danger when menacing pressures threaten to derail Christmas in this heart-pounding suspense—plus a little romance—collection of 10 brand-new novellas from some of the genre’s most popular Christian romantic suspense authors!

Join Jerusha Agen, Mary Alford, Lori Altebaumer, Danielle Grandinetti, Sarah Hamaker, Kendall Hoxsey, Karen Kirst, Pat O’Brien, Hope Welborn, and Terri Weldon on a dangerous Christmastime journey of mystery, suspense, romance, and faith.

My particular novella within this collection is Escape with the Prodigal.

Only a Christmas miracle will save an unwed mother and the lumberjack protecting her. A holiday romance filled with danger, redemption, and sacrifice.

Wisconsin, 1930—Since her late fiancé was killed in a supposed logging accident, Meredith Hughes knows her only safe choice is to keep her unexpected pregnancy hidden, especially from her father. But Supervisor Emyr Hughes, demands his daughter remain at the logging camp with him through the winter, leaving Meri at his mercy.

Patrick Martins has no interest in responsibility and going up to the lumber camp is a chance to get away from Crow’s Nest and his hovering grandmother, nosy great-uncle, and drunk of a father. If only his older brother wasn’t at the camp, too.

Though Patrick doesn’t expect to be taken with his boss’s daughter, when Meri’s volatile father learns of her pregnancy, Patrick refuses to let harm come to Meri and her unborn child, even if he has to sacrifice his life and that of his brother in order to save her.

Escape with the Prodigal is related to my Harbored in Crow’s Nest series and listed as book three. However, it can be read as a stand-alone since it takes place away from Crow’s Nest. In fact, if you haven’t read my series yet, no worries! Patrick and Meri’s story is a perfect introduction. And if you have read the first two books, especially Confessions to a Stranger, then the stakes will be even higher.
