Welcome to First Line Friday!
Today I’m featuring
Detecting Secrets by Sami A. Abrams.
About the Book
Tracking the scents of the missing
might be the only way to save them.
Partnered with her air-scent dog and Sheriff Dennis Monroe, marriage and family therapist Charlotte Bradley is desperate to put an end to a black-market baby smuggling ring in Anderson County. Who is kidnapping the pregnant girls she counsels and taking their babies? As Charlotte searches for answers, she and Dennis must dodge gunfire and deadly attacks. But the sinister agenda they uncover just might include her.

This sounds really good. Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂
Thank you!
Has been a while since I read a Love Inspired romance. This one does sound intriguing right off the bat…
Thanks for visiting me this week.
You’re welcome!
My first line this week comes from The Last Chance Cowboy by Jody Hedlund:
Chicago, Illinois. March 1871
“ It’s a boy.” Catherine Remington held the squalling infant upside down by his ankles, making sure he didn’t inhale mucus.
I have that one on my tbr shelf and can’t wait to read it!
I hope you enjoy this one! Have a great weekend!!
Thanks Cindy!
Happy Friday!
I’m currently reading Memory Lane by Becky Wade.
“After dark that night, Leigh returned from her long journey to bring him his medicine. Thank God, Jonah thought, when he heard her enter Remy’s small house. She’d arrived with the good stuff.”
I hope you have a great weekend!
I’d like to read that sometime. Happy reading!
Ahhhh, suspense right off the bat! Somewhat similar to The Finders series by Jeffrey Burton – only his dogs are cadaver dogs and he works with the police to find presumed dead bodies and solve the mysteries. Great dog characters. Have a terrific weekend.
