Welcome to First Line Friday!
Today I’m featuring
Made of Steele by Susan Sleeman.
She keeps her feelings to herself…
When Teagan Steele faces her hardest challenge since taking over her family’s security company, she has to dig deep to figure out how one of their clients smuggled antiquities into this country, and what they did with them. And she has to clear Steele Guardians of any charges of collusion and wrongdoing.
But a bold undercover agent changes everything.
When she comes face-to-face with undercover ICE agent, Drew Collier, who is deep in the smuggling ring, she has to work hard to keep her emotions in check and herself professional at all times. Despite her best efforts, Teagan and Drew grow closer, but a new threat soon puts their budding relationship to the test and their lives in grave danger.

My Review
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with FTC guidelines.
Made of Steele by Susan Sleeman is the fourth book in her Steele Guardians romantic suspense series.
Drew Collier is undercover with ICE when he has to detain Teagan Steele for her own protection. It’s a great meet-cute that launches a whirlwind investigation.
Antiquities, murder, and fake dates make this a page-turning suspense. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Drew and Teagan. The give and take, not to mention the sparks as the two independent law enforcement officers attempt to work together, and protect each other.
The investigation itself was one of discovery and danger than unexpected twists and turns. But that doesn’t take away from the suspense of the story—because Drew could be found out as an undercover cop at any time! The only thing I wish we could have seen more of is Teagan’s grandparents. I enjoy them.
If you haven’t read the rest of the Steele Guardians series, don’t worry. You can pick up the series here without feeling as if you’re missing anything. However, it’s a fun series you won’t want to miss.

Prologue
Location- from the street
A wasted city lot, hidden behind a blank wall of moldering brick, empty of all but scrabbly weeds grown tree-height and the wind-blown detritus of several apathetic generations.
She does! 🙂 Enjoy your book!
