DANIELLE’S REVIEW

Hidden Danger by Jerusha Agen is the first book in her new Guardians Unleashed series. The related story, Rising Danger, released from Love Inspired and is where we first meet Cora. She’s a sweet soul and that’s even more evident in Hidden Danger. Conversely, Kent Thompson is a hardened DEA agent determined to work on his own to bring down the drug runners.

I especially enjoyed watching Kent’s progress through the story as he fought how Cora’s disposition affected him. His character arc makes him a favorite character of mine. At times Cora could be too … Cora, but she’s so sweet! So like Kent, I couldn’t help rooting for her. The mystery angle is a weaving, twisted tale that left me unsure who the bad guy was until they were revealed. And what an ending it is!

I’m looking forward to learning more about the other characters in the series, especially Phoenix herself. If you’re looking for a highly suspenseful novel with a sweet, check out Hidden Danger.
