Danielle’s Review

If you’ve read my blog for long, you know I love novella collections. Usually, however, they’re historical novellas, so Always a Wedding Planner was a wonderful opportunity to read a couple contemporary romances about four friends who work together as wedding planners.

Some of the stories were serious, some funny. One had scheming kiddos, another had a series of unfortunate events. What I loved most of all was the diversity represented in the characters. It made the stories more real, like there really is a Weddings by Design company with people like Felicity Edwards, the cake baker, Kiki Bell, the seamstress, Cassie Blackthorn, the coordinator, and Chef Saffron Delarosa at the helm.

I enjoyed these four stories and I look forward to reading more books by these authors. In fact, one author, Toni Shiloh, is part of a Christmas novella collection releasing on October 26 called Home for the Holidays. I’m on the launch team for that one and can’t wait to read it!
