Dangerous Deceptions is a collection of short Christian Suspense novels by eight different authors. The stories range from thriller to romantic suspense.

The books are:

Lethal Outbreak, Collision Course, and Liar Like Her were my favorites of the collections. They had a good mix of suspense and romance, unique characters, and intense writing. Honestly, the collection is worth getting just to read those three novels alone!

I think I would have enjoyed Ben in Love more had the narrator been the one in the romantic situation, but I liked the style of the story and suspect I would enjoy Luana Ehrlich’s other series. I have to admit, I skipped Glimmer in the Darkness since I couldn’t finish the first chapter due to content (and so would add a trigger warning)…. In a collection, it’s difficult not to compare one book to another and I found Expired Plot, Ice, and Never a Traitor did not captivate me like Lethal Outbreak, Collision Course, and Liar Like Her.

Another reason why I love collections like this is because it’s a chance to be introduced to new-to-me authors. I read this one because I’m a fan of Elizabeth Goddard’s books. Now, because I read the collection, I’m excited to look up the other authors to see more of their books.

Do you read collections? Have you read this one? Which novel is your favorite?
