Dead End is the third and final book in Nancy Mehl‘s Kaely Quinn Profiler series. Over the past two books, we’ve watched Kaely go toe-to-toe with various serial killers. But in Dead End she’s forced to face the most personal one of all: her father.
Special Agent Noah Hunter has been paired with Kaely throughout the whole series, but he’s grown to care for her. A dangerous situation for his heart since she has a tendency to run toward personal harm without thinking things through. So when she’s given a task that could unravel her completely, he refuses to leave her side.
As I’ve said in my reviews of the first two books, Nancy Mehl is amazing at creating real characters. So real that it’s a little scary to be so close to understanding the mind of someone so troubled. If thrillers are your favorites, you have to read this series! I tend toward books that are not quite so intense, but I’m glad I read this series. It was fantastic writing, story telling, and character creation.
If you do choose to read Dead End, you absolutely should read the other two books first. Watching Kaely’s arc makes this book so satisfying. Plus it gives better backstory to understand Noah’s actions. Neither are the same from the first pages of Mind Games through Fire Storm to the end of Dead End.
I enjoyed these stories and I hope you will, too!
