Spies, codes, and a nation at war for their independence. In Roseanna M. White’s Revolutionary War romantic suspense novel, Ring of Secrets, a young patriot must hide her true heart amid those loyal to the British.

In a time when everyone suspects their neighbor, Winter Reeves chooses to use her aristocratic connections to pass information through the spy network known as the Culpers. It puts her life at risk, but it’s the least she can do for her country. 20190730_091335.jpg

Bennet Lane, chemist and philosopher, returns home to New York to find a patriot spy. Instead, he finds himself attracted to the most mysterious of women. Everyone considers Winter a brainless girl, but how far past her facade will she allow Bennet to see?

I truly love historical fiction. Mix in romance and intrigue and it makes a story irresistible. Winter and Bennet make the challenges of living in 1779 New York real for readers. And the constant fear that the Culpers, especially Winter, will be discovered keeps the pages turning.

I highly recommend Ring of Secrets. Winter’s faith amid the horrible circumstances in which she finds herself is inspiring. Though Bennet is searching for the Patriot spy, it’s easy to root for him to win the race for Winter’s hand. And Roseanna’s writing easily draws the reader into a complicated time in the United States’ history.
