You’re my Little Sweet Pea is an adorable board book illustrating just how much a parent loves their little one. With delightful rhyme, it makes the perfect bedtime story for the baby in your life.

Board books are built to handle young readers as they learn to turn pages. You’re my Little Sweet Pea is no different with its padded cover and sturdy pages. However, since its wording from a parent’s perspective, it makes a great book to read aloud. 20190227_084042

Each page has a couplet poem praising something different about the child. From baby’s button nose to tiny toes. It reinforces just how much they are loved.

I especially like the illustrations by Kit Chase. Each picture shows a baby animal with their parent. The sketches have cute detail with a simple quality that make them the perfect pair to the sweet words.

If you’re looking for a book to give a new baby or another book to read at bedtime, try You’re my Little Sweet Pea.
