When do I Love You, illustrated by Marta Cabrol, is a charming twist off the popular children’s book Guess How Much I Love You. Instead of asking how much, this book asks when, or perhaps better, where. From riding in a truck to sailing in a boat, your little one will know that they cannot go any place where your love will not follow.

Each page of this board book features a different animal baby and its loved one. The variety of animal is diverse, including a little duck, a lizard, even a moose. Marta Cabrol’s adorable illustrations bring these animals to life with cute clothes and fitting scenes. 20190130_094954

Each spread also features two rhyming couplets. The first is catchy and changes with the animal. The second rhyme can seem forced at times, but offers the sentiment that the little one will always be loved.

I also like that the adult animal in the story could be a mama, daddy, or even a grandparent. Your little one will hear all the places you love them no matter your relationship with them.

So, when you need a new bedtime story to read to your little one, try When do I Love You. Page after page will remind them that all the fun, scary, and unique places they go will not change the fact that you love them. And these little ones can never hear “I love you” too much.
